JOB DESCRIPTIONChubb has made community-scale climate resilience a strategic priority, with executive support and the resources needed to operate on a national scale.The Vice President, Community Resilience will lead this enterprise-wide effort to reduce climate-driven losses in communities where Chubb has a significant marketplace presence. This role will report directly to the EVP, Global Resilience and Risk Consulting Leader and will work closely with Chubb's EVP, Personal Risk Services (PRS) Risk Consulting Leader.
This role will shape strategy, build external partnerships, and position Chubb as a trusted leader in community-scale climate adaptation.
The location of this position is flexible, with travel expected to support project delivery in targeted communities and key stakeholder engagements.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive the enterprise community resilience strategy in partnership with PRS and other key stakeholders, including geographic prioritization, peril focus, and outcome measurement.
- Lead the development of a pipeline of community-scale resilience initiatives across wildfire, flood, wind, and severe convective storm perils.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with external partners, including homebuilders, HOAs, developers, municipal leaders, utilities, and government stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary external voice for Chubb on community resilience through industry forums, regulatory engagement, and thought leadership.
- Partner across Chubb business units, including Catastrophe Management, Government Affairs, Corporate Sustainability, and Underwriting, to align resilience efforts with portfolio outcomes.
- Develop public and private partnerships and pilot programs that validate the financial and risk case for community-scale mitigation.
- Advance resilience credit frameworks and support engagement with state commissioners and legislators in targeted markets.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and enterprise impact to senior leadership and other executive stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced operating in a large, matrixed organization, with the ability to build alignment across business units and influence without direct authority.
- Deep expertise in climate resilience or adaptation, with a track record of translating complex risk into enterprise strategies for the built environment and homeowners.
- Experience leading multi-hazard resilience programs or portfolios, including vulnerability assessment, resilience planning, and community-level stakeholder engagement.
- Strong external presence, with the ability to represent Chubb credibly in executive, regulatory, and public forums and shape the broader conversation.
- Policy-savvy, with experience navigating government relationships and mobilizing public-private investment toward resilience outcomes.
- Familiarity with the insurance industry, property risk, or catastrophe modeling is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in environmental science, engineering, urban planning, public policy, public administration, sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in climate resilience, adaptation, infrastructure planning, risk consulting, public policy, sustainability, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level or multi-stakeholder initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence large, matrixed organizations and build alignment without direct authority.
- Experience representing an organization in executive, regulatory, public, or industry-facing forums.
- Strong background in developing partnerships across public and private sectors to advance strategic outcomes.
- Experience translating complex technical, policy, or risk concepts into actionable strategies for senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CFM, PMP, LEED AP, or ENV SP are preferred.
The pay range for the role is $144,000 to $216,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
