A day in the life.
As our Client Implementation Specialist on the Flexible Benefits Team, you'll be primarily responsible for managing the New Client Onboarding process within the McGriff Flexible Benefits TPA and reports to the Flexible Benefits and COBRA Development Executive. This position will show all new clients our relational customer service experience starting from the very first interaction! Building relationships with our clients is the core of what makes McGriff Flexible Benefits different, we never settle for less when it comes to servicing our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Initiate and manage end-to-end tasks associated with the new client implementation and onboarding.
- Exhibit ownership of the implementation experience and client satisfaction throughout the onboarding process.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings related to new client onboarding to include sales discovery, software demonstrations, plan setup and training.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal partners in Relationship Management, Sales, Systems Operations, Treasury and Claims Administration. Additionally with all external Broker partners and Account Managers.
- Utilize MS Office tools to document scope, meeting agendas/notes and project plans.
- Track and report progress of implementation progress.
Additional Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the off-boarding process for clients terminating their contracts with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the plan document review process with internal teams and clients as directed by supervisor for both new and current clients.
- Develop and provide ongoing management of new client implementation setup forms, implementation resource documents, client termination resources, internal standard operating procedures, and tracking tools.
- Provide additional support to Client Relationship Team for enrollment meetings, client submitted participant escalations and educational support as needed.
- Keeps abreast of current trends, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and pronouncements and communicates these changes to the staff to promote knowledge.
- Responsible for adhering to standard operating procedures and processes to assure the highest quality product, development of staff through training and ongoing support involving record keeping and computer technology.
- Bring forward suggestions for organizational improvement.
- Attend seminars, classes and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for Clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes, as opportunities occur.
- Support overall MEBS revenue and retention goals.
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Several years of experience working with large system record keeping platforms
- Demonstrate strong organizational and project skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Act with responsiveness, urgency and professionalism in all matters
- Maintain an enthusiastic, positive attitude
- Able to utilize Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe
- Ability to analyze large datasets; an analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
