Description

From idea to 6 months post-launch responsibility, the Franchise Lead, Senior Director RADIESSE, will execute and contribute with critical and timely inputs to the marketing strategy and global tactical execution to drive innovation for the RADIESSE brand. This includes pre-product development projects and pre-concepts to launch products and services. The right candidate must demonstrate the ability to apply marketing experience and business knowledge to drive product development and innovation in line with company strategy.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Product Development: Based on customer feedback, market insights and commercial strategy, the  FL Senior Director RADIESSE will lead pipeline projects by providing strategic direction to R&D and working cross functionally to drive product development programs. The FL will be responsible for defining product scope, providing design inputs, validating product design, business case, forecast and development of launch plan, messaging and promotional materials 
  • Global Launch Strategy: Responsible for leading and executing impactful global new product launches. Specific responsibilities include the development of brand strategy, marketing materials, price strategy, promotional plan, product training plan, product forecasting, inventory roll-out plan, sales tools, etc. Lead coordination with Regional Marketing teams and other key stakeholders 
  •  Global Launch Strategy: Responsible for leading the development of the scientific publication strategy for responsible products in close partnership with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and the Marketing Insights teams
  • Market Research: Partner with Market Analytics to execute market research initiatives around customer needs and product validation. Provide technical expertise to assist in their execution. Stay connected with market needs through frequent interaction with regional marketing partners, customers (In-region visits, attendance at industry meetings, review medical journals, etc.)
  • Product Management: Contribute to the development of global brand strategies for products, services, programs and other key initiatives, including establishment of value proposition, targeting & segmentation, positioning, global branding, product launch and lifecycle management 
  • Commercial results: Achieve global business plan objectives of sales, net income, gross profit, inventory and price on an annual basis. Manage expenses within budget. Increase company's leadership position in the Injectables market 
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with regional marketing to gather input on customer needs and ensure strong alignment with product and company strategy. Be responsive in responding to requests from customers and internal stakeholders. Work collaboratively with functional areas and strategic partners to ensure business issues are addressed in a timely manner 
  • People/Stakeholder Management: Position typically does not involve management of direct reports, however, the Innovation Lead Senior Director will lead through skillful influence of both internal and external stakeholders. The position involves extensive interaction with KOLs external partners requiring collaboration and management of the partner resources and development processes
  • Other duties as assigned: Identify external partners to target for acquisition or strategic partnership to fill gaps in the portfolio or create competitive differentiation. Develop and own the business case and forecast to gain internal support for proposed partnerships/acquisitions

Job related qualifications/Skills

Professional experience

Required:

  • 12+ years of brand management, product development, pharmaceutical or medical device marketing experience, preferably in aesthetic medicine, cosmetics/skin care or dermatology.
  • Local marketing/brand management of a product at the country level

Preferred:

  • Sales experience an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

  • Strategic agility and strong planning orientation, with ability to clearly and convincingly articulate plans
  • Deep understanding of brand management and portfolio management
  • Deep understanding of product development, including FDA, CE and CFDA pathways for medical devices and pharmaceuticals
  • An innovator who has experience in building integrated marketing programs and who can be known to take risks and think of bold ideas
  • Strong understanding of customer insight and research while also knowing how to put "insight into action"
  • Passionate about team development and fostering a positive culture

Education

Required:

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

  • MBA
