Here is what you’ll do 

Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, the Solutions Consultant (SC) serves as a partner and collaborator with the members of the field sales team, utilizing your deep industry expertise, expert product knowledge and dazzling presentation skills to demonstrate how the CL solutions suite can transform the financial aid experience for students, parents and financial aid professionals. The SC supports CL business and revenue goals by providing high-quality business and product presentations and demonstrations.  The SC’s participation in the sales process is critical to supporting the most strategic and complex sales, as well as providing mentorship to other team members.  We work at warp speed and we’re passionate about how awesome financial aid can be.   • Lead product demonstrations and serve as a financial aid subject matter expert in the CampusLogic suite of products, including their functionality, competitive differentiators, industry application, and implementation requirements
  • In partnership with the field sales team members, work with prospective and current clients to build a compelling buying vision aligned to the clients’ operational requirements and future goals
  • Participate in prospect and customer discovery calls to understand business needs and challenges and map requirements to CL functionality
  • Create and deliver custom demonstrations and presentations for prospective customers and for current customer upsell and cross-sell opportunities and clearly articulate feature/solution benefits specific to the customer’s challenges; be able to skillfully weave new products and features into the demonstration story and keep up with a lean product development cycle
  • Deliver strong "proof-of-concept" demos that demonstrate business value and technical benefits as well as strong ROI
  • Develop methodologies and processes to empower others in the sales process and is creative in developing innovative ways to present solutions; identify ways to be more productive and scalable in the sales cycle
  • Set up end-to-end business processes as required in the sales process including scripted demonstration scenarios and building POC’s (Proof of Concept)
  • Maintain/update demo databases for each product that shows off the end-to-end product functionality
  • Prepare written responses to functional requirements of competitive procurement (RFP/RFI) opportunities that illustrate the competitive advantages of the CL solutions suite
  • Work with Product and Development team to understand latest feature enhancements; document and communicate product feedback from the field
  • Collaborate with Marketing colleagues regarding product positioning, competitive differentiation, and developing sales collateral and assets
  • Collaborate with the sales team to research key legislative initiatives within their territory that may be relevant to product positioning and value proposition
  • Provide functional and technical product expertise on all CL products
  • Anticipate and handle objections during the sales process, articulating clear and concise responses while positioning CL solution benefits
  • Support a complex, enterprise solution sale with a 6 month to 18 month purchasing cycle; collaborate with field sales counterparts to develop account plans and sales strategy for specific opportunities
  • Provide input on the qualification of prospects
  • Help transition all information gathered during the sales cycle to Client Success team
  • Participate in quarterly sales business reviews and company meetings
  • Engage with the Financial Aid community, attending trade shows and ed technology conferences, participating as a thought leader in the Student Financial Success space
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, competition, competitive issues and products


  • Previous solutions consulting/pre-sales experience required
  • Domain expertise in Enrollment Management: Financial Aid and Admissions
  • Superstar presentation communication skills, responding with ease in 1:1, small group, and larger group settings with customers, employees, and the general public
  • Expert-level domain expertise in the higher education financial aid industry and its business processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working with or implementing student information systems and other financial aid related software
  • Ability to establish credibility and connect to multi-level stakeholders in higher education
  • Quick learner, able to work independently, resourceful information seeker, excel in a fast-paced environment, and adapt well to frequent change
  • Complete confidence that you are great at what you do, but a continual commitment to being even MORE amazing
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, self-motivated, and the will to win while always remaining a committed and unselfish team player
  • Ability to travel 35-50%, to accomplish sales team revenue goals and objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, master’s degree a plus 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time
  • Travel 35-50% of the time
