cardiology and structural heart physician to join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Academic rank and track
commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board-certified/ board-eligible interventional cardiology and
structural heart physician to join an elite team of academic physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank. The
successful candidate will focus on both routine and complex coronary artery disease, including inpatient and outpatient
consultative and primary services in a world-class facility at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. Interests in clinical and
extramurally funded research are desirable. The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is setting new
standards for advanced heart and vascular care through our internationally and nationally recognized experts of more
than 60 cardiology and vascular medicine specialists. We offer heart and vascular patients some of the most exciting and
innovative technologies, treatments, and clinical trials, many of which are only available at Ohio State. The majority of
our faculty are principal investigators on a variety of research projects in both basic, translational, and clinical research
settings.

- Successful completion of a US-accredited cardiology fellowship
- Eligible for an Ohio License
- Clinical and Extramurally funded research desirable
- Qualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate
with previous training and experience
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine
The division of cardiovascular medicine team embodies excellence through a fusion of expertise, cutting-edge

groundbreaking research and education. Our faculty, renowned for their contributions to the field, are instrumental in
training the next generation of cardiologists through both integrated and traditional fellowship programs, which include
a core cardiovascular medicine fellowship, interventional cardiology fellowship, electrophysiology fellowship, heart
failure and cardiac transplant fellowship, adult congenital heart disease fellowship, and cardiovascular diagnostic
imaging fellowship. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of cardiovascular care with research aimed at
developing novel treatments and refining existing therapies.

Faculty Defined
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and
professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in
the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years.
They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and
may include teaching, and/or research.
Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor,
or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD),
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on
research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.
Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research
associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree
in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to
five years. Their principal career focus is research.
