Job Description:
General Description:
Reporting to the Director of New Product Strategy, this position offers a candidate the opportunity to significantly contribute to the long-term commercial success of the portfolio and is responsible for providing commercial assessments of key clinical stage assets, market research activities, competitive positioning and preferred product profile. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to establish Target Product Profiles and determine early product positioning
- Conduct commercial evaluations of pipeline products in early and late development stages through primary and secondary market research to understand disease epidemiology, market environment, patient segmentation, patient journey, key competitors' strategy and activities, and customers' needs.
- Develop basic revenue forecast for pipeline assets in alignment with relevant departments, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Pricing, Regulatory Affairs, and Global Teams.
- Provide analytical support to assess and prioritize pipeline programs as part of the Long Range Planning process.
- Serve as the central hub for all functions related to new product evaluation and planning.
- Create comprehensive business cases as deliverables that consolidate findings from the evaluations and assessments.
Qualification Required:
Education/Experience Required:
- This position requires a M.S. (or PhD) / B.S. MBA preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical industry including NPP, Marketing or other relevant roles with significant Hematology & Oncology knowledge & experience (8+ years for Senior Manager)
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Experience in specialty NPS or Marketing or other relevant roles, with an understanding of Clinical Development strategy/plan, Japanese regulation (PMDA/MHLW), and commercial strategy/plan
- Ability to have strategic problem resolving skill
- Must be results oriented with a strategic focus on net profit
- Ability to actively engage in developing new business.
- Dedicated to making customer service a priority.
- Must have a self-starting, self-managing independent work style.
- Adept in build trusted advisor relationships.
- Interpersonal Skills to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution skills to navigate diverse opinions and foster a harmonious and innovative team atmosphere.
- Depth understanding of pharmaceutical market with hematology/oncology knowledge
- Must demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges.

- Broad cross-functional experience in other roles, such as marketing, sales, clinical development, medical, regulatory
- Ability to develop P&L including sales forecast and OPEX/HC plan

Computer Skills: Highly skilled in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Other Qualifications: Expertise in conducting Crucial Conversations and providing the Hematology Sales Representatives with the tools for talking when stakes are high, emotions run strong, and opinions vary.
