Regional Campaign Manager | House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC)

The House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) was established in 1995 as a statewide organization to help Democratic incumbents and candidates win elections to the Washington State House of Representatives. Our mission is to provide grassroots, strategic, and monetary support to Democratic campaigns for state House in order to maintain and grow a Democratic majority in the state Legislature. 
About The Position
The HDCC is seeking to build a team of creative problem-solvers who will work to protect and grow the Democratic majority in the Washington State House Democratic majority. The Regional Campaign Manager(s) will provide direct support to campaigns in data, communications, field, training and mentoring of campaign staff. Applicants should be self-motivated and strategic, with experience handling multiple priorities and maintaining attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment. The Regional Campaign Manager(s) reports to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities 
Field / Grassroots Mobilization
Produce field plans and targeting guidelines for assigned races.
Develop comprehensive district analysis for targeted districts.
Train campaign managers in organizing and field best practices.
Serve as a regional resource for voter file best practices and technical support.
Help to plan and execute successful, large-scale doorbelling events.
Provide oversight for assigned campaigns’ doorbelling and direct voter contact goals.
Participate in traditional forms of voter contact, including canvassing and phone-banking.
General Campaign Support
Assist with recruiting and training of campaign managers and field staff.
Staff campaign fundraisers, community events, and forums as needed.
Review paid campaign communications, including mail and digital ads. 
Develop and facilitate trainings on campaign best practices.
Provide support and advising for assigned races.
Campaign & Legislative Research
Track and assist with endorsement questionnaires.
Monitor campaign expenditures and paid communications.
Create issue briefings and messaging guides.
Conduct research on potential candidates and opposition.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Work, volunteer, academic, and life experiences are all acceptable
Commitment to removing barriers to the democratic process and creating a more representative state legislature.
Proven ability to engage with communities outside of their own and communicate effectively with many types of people and personalities.
Experience motivating and supervising staff, giving and receiving constructive feedback, and training others on the campaign fundamentals.
Excellent written and oral communications skills 
Project management experience and the ability to perform in a high-stress environment with campaign deadlines.
At least two cycles of campaign experience required. Familiarity with the Washington State political landscape is a plus, but not necessarily required.
Proficiency with Votebuilder/VAN and strong analytical skills.
Ideal candidates will have a sense of humor, love helping people solve problems, and be comfortable passing credit to others.
Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel to assigned legislative districts.
Compensation: This position is full time and slated to start in January of 2026 and to run through December of 2026. Salary is commensurate with experience, with a salary range of $4,500-$5,800 per month. HDCC offers employer paid medical and dental benefits, cell phone and mileage reimbursement, paid time off, sick time, and other benefits.
