About the role
The Project Finance Manager for the multi-country Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) project holds primary responsibility for the end-to-end financial management and strategic oversight of the project budget. This entails comprehensive budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, implementing partner financial management and oversight, and providing critical financial insights to senior management to guide strategic decision-making. The role is central to ensuring robust financial stewardship, operational excellence, and compliance with both Nutrition International's internal policies and CIFF donor requirements. By overseeing the full award lifecycle, the incumbent ensures the effective and timely administration of grant contracts, and partner funding agreements, directly contributing to the financial sustainability and success of this CIFF-funded initiative.
Serving as the key focal point for finance and award management, the Project Finance Manager fosters strong collaborative relationships with implementing partners, program teams, country offices, and Head Office functions. This position is critical for proactively communicating financial information, identifying and mitigating emerging risks, and resolving grant-related issues. Through close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including CIFF teams and partner organizations, the Project Finance Manager will focus on ensuring that project funds are utilized efficiently and transparently, while also working to strengthen financial systems and optimize processes for enhanced project performance.

Lead the full financial lifecycle of the CIFF grant. From reviewing vendor contracts to managing cost recovery and supporting due diligence, you will ensure compliance, strengthen partner accountability, and uphold the integrity of every financial commitment. - Partner & Field Office Support
Empower partners and field teams through targeted financial guidance and training. You'll ensure financial reports are accurate, compliant, and timely, while helping partners enhance their own financial systems and controls. - Internal Controls & Risk Management
Safeguard the project by enforcing strong financial policies and proactively identifying risks, from budget variances to ineligible costs. You'll streamline financial processes, support audits, and ensure that recommendations are implemented with precision. - Strategic Support & Decision-Making
Enable smarter decision-making by delivering clear financial insights, burn rates, unit costs, efficiency metrics, and more. You'll support senior leadership with analytic inputs for planning, reviews, donor engagements, and strategic adjustments across the portfolio.
