11 paid federal holidays + Paid Sick Leave (70 hours) + 80 hours Paid Time Off (after one year)

830am - 500pm, Monday - Friday.

Enjoy a satisfying career giving back to Veterans as a pharmacy technician. We are seeking a full-time, highly motivated and experienced pharmacy technician at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The pharmacy technician will:

Certification from PTCB or NHA Required

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:

Cleaning and maintaining the Pixi's machine, filling labels and vials, and refilling pill trays for the machine.
Pulling drugs and patient supplies to fill prescriptions, scanning drugs into ScriptPro in preparation for the pharmacist's final review.
Preparing medications for mail-out, including running labels, boxing prescriptions, and applying postage after the pharmacist's final review for UPS pick-up.
Handling prescriptions that require compounding in the compound room, filling out the Rx compound log, and mixing medications as needed.
Managing the patient pick-up area, ensuring patients identify themselves with Federal ID and logging information into Pro Script.
Retrieving narcotic medications from the Pyxis safe using ID and fingerprint recognition.

Pay: $24.50 per hour
